Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Face & Body Studio SA collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to align with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address and phone number, when you register.
• Booking details — the treatment, date and time you reserve, and any notes you add.
• Order details — what you ordered, your delivery preference and, if you choose courier delivery, your delivery address.
• Marketing signup details — your name, email address and/or telephone number, consent time and signup source when you choose to join our marketing list.
• Technical data — a session cookie that keeps your bag between pages, an authentication cookie once you sign in, and optional analytics data if you accept analytics.

We do not collect or store card or banking details. Online payment is completed securely by PayFast.

Why we use it

To hold your booking, fulfil your order, contact you about either, and keep a record of your history with the studio so you can see it in your account. When you explicitly join our marketing list, we also use your name and the email address and/or telephone number you provide to send studio news, product arrivals and occasional offers until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We share delivery details with a courier only when you request delivery. PayFast receives the details required to process an online payment. A messaging provider receives only the contact details and message content needed to deliver a message. If you opt in to analytics, Google receives limited usage and device information as our analytics provider. We do not send Google your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address, notes, account ID, booking ID, checkout token or raw search query. We do not sell or rent your information.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account with us, and afterwards only where we are required to keep transaction records. Mailing-list details are kept while you remain subscribed; we may retain a minimal suppression and consent record after opt-out so we honour your choice.

Your rights

You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. You can withdraw marketing consent through an unsubscribe option in a message or by contacting us. Email facebodystudio@gmail.com and we will action it.

Cookies

Necessary cookies remember your bag and keep you signed in. With your explicit permission, we also use Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits, catalogue interest, cart and checkout activity, confirmed purchases, and contact or Fresha link usage. Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_* cookies. These are not advertising cookies, and Google Signals, ad personalisation and remarketing are disabled.

Analytics is off unless you select Accept analytics. You may decline without losing any site features. To change or withdraw your choice, use Cookie preferences in the footer and select Decline; the site will stop future analytics collection and remove its Google Analytics cookies.
